The Holland Fish & Game Club
The Holland Fish and Game Club has been around since May of 1917. However, back in 2000 a fire occurred which caused the building to have to be rebuilt. It was rebuilt in 2001. The building sits on almost 25 acres of land. The scenery surrounding the building does not disappoint. The large pond and the gazebo are the first things you will see as you drive up the east entrance on Paw Paw. If you come from the north off of Old Chicago Drive you will drive down a winding road lined with trees. There is a large, handicap accessible parking lot directly in front of the building, a grassy field off to the side, and picnic tables for you to use. The scenery is beautiful any time of the year.
Having your wedding at HFGC allows the option for your guests to move seamlessly from ceremony to reception. Guests may enjoy the grounds during a cocktail hour, or head inside for dining and dancing on our large dance floor. There is plenty of space outdoors for yard games and socializing. Each room has it's own restrooms, a kitchen with an oven for warming, a microwave, chest freezer, and refrigerator. Indoor tables and chairs are included, and linens and outdoor chairs are available for rent. The ceilings are lined with white fabric and edison bulb string lights. The blank slate of each room allows you to add your own personal touch however you'd like.
The HFGC is not only an incredibly beautiful place to have your wedding ceremony, reception, or hold an event... But also a place to get involved and learn more about the fishing and hunting community. Did you know that the HFCG works behind the scenes in helping contribute to the lake’s abundant supply of fish? The HFGC uses it's resources to supply thousands of walleye biannually to Lake Macatawa. Since 2015, the HFGC has produced over 215,000 walleye fingerlings to Lake Macatawa.
The HFGC hosts events throughout the year such as youth fishing, wild game dinner, an annual fish fry, and many other fundraising events.
We hope that you will come see for yourself all that HFGC has to offer. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions or comments regarding an event, getting involved or becoming a member.
